How It Works
The Three Layers
The SUN Adaptive Trend Line
Proprietary adaptive algorithm calculates an Efficiency Ratio on every bar. In trending conditions the SUN line accelerates; during chop it flattens. Green = bull trend confirmed, red = bear trend confirmed.
Real-Time AI Scoring
Every SUN flip triggers evaluation by six ONNX models — one buy and one sell for M1, M5, M15. Each returns a 0–100 score. Signals above your threshold become bold entry arrows; below-threshold signals appear as subtle gray markers.
Multi-Timeframe Confluence
When M5 and M15 models agree and both score above threshold, win rates climb from ~74% to 83–93%. HTF overlay lines make alignment visually obvious — same-color SUN lines = highest-confidence setup.

AI Engine — Model Quality
SunSignal ML is powered by six ONNX neural network models trained exclusively on XAUUSD price data. The models were trained specifically to identify two things: the quality of a trend continuation and the significance of a price pivot.
All models are evaluated on strictly held-out out-of-sample data — training data precedes test data with no overlap — ensuring genuine forward-looking predictive power.
What the SUN Line Contributes
The SUN adaptive line is not a standard moving average. Its proprietary algorithm measures market efficiency on every bar — only moving decisively when price movement is directional and sustained.
What the Models Were Trained On
Trained using confirmed swing pivot labels — identifying verified swing highs and lows on XAUUSD as ground truth. At every SUN flip event, the models assess:
- Price proximity to the SUN line at flip
- Time elapsed since the last confirmed pivot
- Momentum and volatility context normalised to ATR
- Stochastic and RSI across M5, M15, and H1
- Higher timeframe SUN line alignment
